Each fabric in our botanical collection is uniquely hand-dyed using natural techniques, making every piece a one-of-a-kind creation. Our process celebrates nature’s spontaneity and embraces the “perfectly imperfect” qualities that arise in small-batch dyeing. No two pieces are ever the same; from subtle shifts in tone to intricate, organic patterns, each fabric has its own story and character.

Please keep in mind that natural variations and tiny imperfections are part of the beauty of our process. When you choose Eleventh House Fabrics, you're choosing a truly individual piece with the essence of handcrafted artistry.

Cutch is a natural dye obtained from the heartwood of the Acacia catechu tree. It produces warm, earthy shades of brown, ranging from soft caramel to deep rust, depending on the concentration and mordants used. Cutch is prized for its eco-friendly properties, high tannin content, and ability to create beautifully rich and enduring colours, often associated with traditional textile practices in South Asia.

I respectfully acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains, the land on which I source local natural plant materials used to create my dyes. I honor their deep connection to this land, its plants, and its resources, which have sustained their culture for generations. I pay my respects to Kaurna Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their enduring relationship with the land, waters, and skies.
